Mission Statement
The Macaulay Wank Memorial Scholarship provides financial support and encourages participation in both high school athletics and music activities. The scholarship’s primary objective is to assist individuals who embody the spirit and beliefs that Macaulay Wank exemplified both on and off the field in organized athletics and music. The scholarship aims to enrich young lives and foster the development of future community leaders.
About Macaulay
Few people brought light, joy and caring to the world around them like Macaulay. His love of friends and family was a given, but for Macaulay, it didn’t stop there. His kindness knew no bounds. And, it wasn’t just an act. His presence and the way he treated others were a living example of what it means to be human. No matter the circumstance, time or place, Macaulay was there to lend a helping hand, listen without judgment or share words of kindness to those who needed it. Passionate about sports and music, Macaulay was the epitome of a team player. His love of football, where he fought side by side with his teammates in the trenches of the defensive line, earned him the respect and love of his teammates, fans, coaches and the broader school community. As a drummer, Macaulay brought joy, and through his steady rhythms, made everyone around him feel, smile and move together. May we honor his legacy by carrying Macaulay’s life ethos into our own lives. Lift others. Keep the beat for our communities. And always choose love and kindness, every day.
About the Scholarships
The Macaulay Wank Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to graduating seniors from Chatfield Senior High School and Cheshire Academy who participate in Football or Music.
Additional scholarships will be awarded to football players who require financial assistance in order to participate in the football program at Chatfield Senior High School and Cheshire Academy.

Macaulay Wank Memorial Scholarship - Band
This award recognizes a graduating senior who participated in the band program at Chatfield Senior High School. Eligible students will have participated in musical performances, and have an interest in continuing to include music in their life after graduation.
Awards Overview - Cheshire Academy
The Macaulay Wank ’12 Graduating Senior Football Player Award
This award recognizes a graduating senior who played football at Cheshire Academy and honors the qualities exhibited by Macaulay Wank ’12 while he played at Cheshire Academy. Eligible students will have played at least two years of football at Cheshire Academy, with preference given to a student who played offensive or defensive line.
The Macaulay Wank ’12 Graduating Senior Music Award
This award recognizes a graduating senior at Cheshire Academy whose interest and love of music exemplifies those same qualities exhibited by Macaulay Wank ’12 while he was a student at Cheshire Academy and after. Eligible students will have participated in musical performances (band, theatre, concert, etc.) while at Cheshire Academy and have an interest in continuing to include music in their life after graduation.
Macaulay Wank ‘12 Annual Scholarship
This award is given in support of rising senior who plays football and has unmet financial need. The scholarship will be awarded during the student’s senior year, and the student must play football., with recognition of his two years spent at Cheshire Academy and his love of playing football.

100% of donations go towards funding scholarships for graduating seniors and those students with financial needs.
